Grid & canvas
Two zones. The main object fills its zone; small parts that stick out may cross into the margin.
Zone: the main object fills this, resting on its bottom edgeBaselineNot allowed
01
Clothing
Ghost-mannequin or flat lay, garment centred, one-square border on all four sides.
ZoneClothing zone: columns 2–11, rows 2–15. One empty square on every side.
ScaleFill the zone in whichever direction the garment hits first. Gowns, coats and trousers fill the height;
jackets and knits fill the width.
AlignmentCentred horizontally. Shoulders level, hem straight.
SetsTwo-piece looks are shot worn together and treated as one object.
HangersNever visible. No mannequin, clips or pins.

On-model & cropped images
When the photo is already cropped (no face, no ankles, cut at the waist), the cropped side bleeds to the
canvas edge. No margin is added there.
Cropped edgesGo all the way to the edge of the canvas. Adding grey space above a cut neck or below cut ankles makes
the crop look like a mistake.
Uncropped edgesKeep the normal one-square margin as a minimum.
AlignmentModel centred left to right. Crop points consistent across a product: same neck line, same ankle line for
every angle and colour.
Applies toAny category shot on a model or hand: clothing, bags on the shoulder, shoes on foot, watches and rings on
the wrist or hand.
02
Perfume
Bottle upright, front-facing, filling the zone.
ZoneDefault zone: columns 2–11, rows 4–14. Bottle stands on the bottom edge of the zone.
ScaleFill the zone. Tall bottles fill the 11-square height, wide bottles fill the 10-square width. 50 ml and
100 ml therefore look identical.
WidthFollows the bottle’s real proportions. Never stretch.
Sticking outA tassel, ribbon or oversized cap may cross into the margin; the bottle body stays inside the zone.
AngleStraight on, cap on. No tilt.
03
Bags
Front view, bag standing, straps included in the main shape.
ZoneDefault zone. Bag stands on the bottom edge, centred.
ScaleFill the zone: wide bags (totes, weekenders) fill the 10-square width, tall bags (bucket bags with
handles up, backpacks) fill the 11-square height. Wallets and card holders fill the width too, so every
bag arrives at the same visual size.
Straps & handlesPart of the main object, so they stay inside the zone. Long chains are folded or draped inside the
bag.
Sticking outCharms, tags, ribbons and key rings may hang outside the zone into the margin.
ViewFront view, handles standing, never flopped over.
04

Sticking outLaces, buckles and ankle straps may cross into the margin.
05
